A two-day workshop for people who will act on what they learn: money laundering, fraud and sanctions evasion as they arrive at banks, payment firms and fintechs, and the work of catching them — real cases on the table, decisions made in the room, under the EU AML rules that apply from 2027.
Early-bird rate, until 25 September 2026. The standard rate applies after that.
Each morning runs two short talks per topic plus a panel and live Q&A. Each afternoon puts it to work in small groups — clinics on alert-to-freeze, a defensible SAR/STR, and the sanctions calls analysts get wrong.
Day 1 programmeAML, fraud and targeted financial sanctions are taught and worked together, because that is how they arrive on a desk — not in separate teams. Day 2 includes a live deepfake and voice-clone demonstration of what now reaches the onboarding desk.
Day 2 programmeThe EU AML Regulation applies in 2027 and the AI Act's high-risk obligations follow that December. Both are threaded across every session, and the final clinic turns two days into one prioritised readiness roadmap you can take back to your institution.
Reserve a placeThe room is around a hundred people, which is what lets every afternoon run as a clinic with real facilitator feedback. Mixed groups take one realistic cross-border case — blending laundering, fraud and sanctions evasion — through to a defensible escalation decision, then debrief with facilitator feedback.

65 min · two presentations
Current laundering methods — money mules, trade-based laundering, crypto and VASP typologies. Then high-risk clients and CDD: PEPs, NGOs and sanctions-exposed customers under AMLR due diligence.
50 min · two presentations
The post-2022 landscape and suspicious financial flows. Then ownership, control and tuning — EU versus OFAC, the 50% question, matching and thresholds.
45 min · panel & live Q&A
Three short cases sitting just past where the rulebook answers. A panellist commits to a call, then one new fact arrives and at least one position changes. How experienced people reason when two answers are both defensible — and who is actually allowed to decide.
65 min · hands-on
Small groups take a live alert through to an asset freeze and a filed report. Sharpen the alert, draft targeted RFIs, apply a freeze correctly and on time, write a defensible narrative, then debrief with facilitator feedback.
60 min · hands-on
Work the sanctions screening calls analysts get wrong: separate true hits from false positives, resolve an ownership-and-control question, flag a circumvention pattern, and record a rationale that holds up to review.
Followed by the evening networking reception.

APP fraud, AI-enabled fraud and card and payment fraud, with a live deepfake and voice-clone demonstration of what now reaches the onboarding desk. Then FRAML in practice: the mule economy bridging fraud and laundering, and AML data-sharing.
65 min · two presentations
Combining AML, fraud and sanctions checks into a single onboarding decision. Then what AMLR and the AI Act change — the new authority, and whether the AI in your monitoring and screening stack counts as high-risk.
45 min · panel & live Q&A
With eight months left. What is genuinely different rather than renamed, where firms over- and under-invest, and what a supervisor will expect evidenced when AMLR applies. Moderated by Anna Agu (Lexlaw), with regulators and market practitioners.
90 min · hands-on · where both days come together
Mixed groups work one realistic cross-border case blending laundering, fraud and sanctions evasion, exactly as it lands on a real desk: from first alert to decision, applying both days together, then a facilitated debrief.
60 min · hands-on
Map your controls against the EU AML Regulation, inventory the AI already in your stack and record whether you are provider or deployer, identify the gaps that matter most before the 2027 deadlines, and leave with a prioritised, shareable roadmap.

Anyone whose work touches AML, fraud or sanctions in banks, EMIs and PSPs, fintechs, CASPs and crypto businesses, payment and card providers, and gambling and iGaming operators. MLROs, deputy MLROs, heads of compliance, analysts, anti-fraud and FRAML leads, sanctions, KYC and transaction-monitoring teams — and equally training leads, operations specialists, risk, audit and investigations colleagues. All experience levels are welcome, and the roles above are examples rather than requirements.
It is a working room of roughly a hundred rather than an auditorium, and the afternoons are run as clinics. Every morning is structured teaching; every afternoon puts it to work in small groups, closing with one cross-border case worked from first alert to a defensible escalation decision.
The two days are built as one arc — Day 2's case lab deliberately requires Day 1's material — so places are sold for both days together.
€499 + VAT (the standard rate) covers both full days, all sessions and clinics, lunch and refreshments on both days, the evening networking reception after day one, CPD-accredited training with a Certificate of Completion, and the job aids produced in the clinics — typology red-flag checklists, a 2026 fraud-signal reference, a sanctions screening review aid, and an AMLR and AI-readiness roadmap template.

Reaching Baltic and Nordic compliance teams from outside the region is hard, and this is the room to be in. Three tiers are available, from logo presence through to a speaking slot in the programme, and each one includes delegate places so your own team attends rather than appearing on a banner.
